Our priority for this home improvement project in Glen Iris was to maintain the property’s distinctive period features. From its art-deco style doors and fireplaces to its ceiling accents, this home had many elements that we wanted to highlight. It was important for us to not bury its beautiful features, but to complement them with some modern adjustments.
Our clients wanted a simple floor replacement, so we replaced the old floorboards with brand new, premium timber floors. This simple change completely transformed the look and feel of the home, transforming it from an old and dated home into a newly refurbished period home. We also renovated the kitchen, replacing the old kitchen with a brand new, sleek set. With premium finishings, we know that this kitchen will last for years to come. We wanted to juxtapose the home’s period qualities with its modern qualities, so we chose for the kitchen to be coloured a neutral white.
